Our Philosophy
We believe accounting is more than producing numbers — it is about ensuring those numbers are accurate, explainable, and actionable.
Our work goes beyond surface-level reporting to:
Validate underlying data
Identify discrepancies at the source
Strengthen financial processes for long-term sustainability
Our Founder
Tashiba K. Dixon

Tashiba K. Dixon is the founder and principal consultant of Counting Rocks, bringing more than 20 years of progressive accounting and financial operations experience to every client engagement. Her career spans Controller and Assistant Controller roles across complex financial environments, including managing accounting operations for 17 entities across the U.S., U.K., Spain, the Netherlands, and Canada. That breadth of experience — navigating multi-currency environments, international consolidations, intercompany billing, and demanding reporting timelines — gives her a command of accounting complexity that few consultants can match.
Through Counting Rocks, Tashiba provides managed accounting services to clients in architecture, engineering, retail, transportation, and the public sector, functioning as a trusted, embedded extension of each client’s team. She is a recognized expert in ERP financial systems with hands-on proficiency in Deltek Vision, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Odoo and Great Plains, and has led a full ERP conversion from project kickoff through staff training. Her engagements are defined by meticulous documentation, structured knowledge transfer, and a commitment to leaving every client more capable and self-sufficient than she found them.
Tashiba holds a Master of Science in Sustainable Development from Uppsala University (Sweden) and a Bachelor of Science, Cum Laude, in Finance and Information Management from Syracuse University. She completed 34 accounting credits toward CPA certification and is an active CPA Candidate as of 2026 — a reflection of her ongoing commitment to the highest standards of the accounting profession.
